Unsuccessful tries for weeks lead me to the decision to give up trying to get a Labelr account, despite the fact I got told that I will get one.

So on my search for nice alternatives, I stumpled over this blog post listing all available possibilities for adding categories to blogspot blogs!

Luckily they also linked to Technorati tag solution which is perfect since I have added Technorati a while ago, this is the perfect solution until I got Labelr (if ever!). The categories can be selected and clicked on on the sidepanel and it should work in Opera, Gecko, MSIE! 🙂

Finally, the earlier presented new paid ICQ Pro7 SMS service is now finally also available for users in Germany that don’t use the Pro 7 ICQ localized client!

So, I am able to present some screenshots:

It has happened! Some ICQ user used the new ICQ Blog feaure trip blog – traveling through South America.

Having a look at the short UIN and user details it may be very possible that this blog was created by the ICQ Team themselves.

Anyway, a nice blog (a bit short maybe but who knows, maybe he will expand it).

A few days ago, I have added the Swicki Search & Tag Cloud, and it seems to be a success.
Among the famous searches are “Netvigator” (HK localized ICQ), “Devils”, “ICQ Skins” and search for status manager icons.

Above, you can see a screenshot showing a search tag notification email, so I see the tag you entered and I add it so other visitors can see what’s hot and search for the same or similar stuff!

Nice to see the thing works! 🙂

Theese days everybody writes about Windows Vista Beta 2, however what I wonder about is, that several companies like Epson, Plustek, Logitech and LevelOne refuse to code 64bit drivers for some models or even all hardware. So, will be the 64bit version of Windows Vista ever be a success? Will this cause companies to write 64bit drivers for Windows XP X64, too? I really hope so!

Let’s wait and see! 🙂

Today, when I started up ICQ, I received the below notification about new ICQ Ssrvey (but infact they aren’t new, users just never got notified. They are the same surveys as mentioned in the ICQ Team letter reply email).

And it’s maybe random luck, but maybe planned, but additional to the ICQ SMS survey notification, ICQ displayed banner of Pro7 ICQ5 Paid SMS.

So, since 2 years now (free) ICQ SMS only supports very few networks – Now it seems, they try it with paid SMS in Germany.

The homepage even doesn’t say it correctly.

It says:

>Send now SMS directly from ICQ

>Starting from sensationally cheap 9 € cent per SMS. To every German mobile phone number.

>And receive the replies dirctly in ICQ

>Works with ICQ and Pro7 ICQ

>No additional registration for ICQ users required!

However, it did not work with English ICQ 5.1 so I guess one has to really download and install the (obsolete) ICQ 5 Pro 7 German client!

There are many reasons why some people still prefer ICQ2003b over ICQ5.

One of the reasons is that ICQ2003b still has ICQPhone while the newer ICQ clients never had. Well… Yet! – Because It’a back!

The Xtraz Information Center does not mention it yet, but the ICQ Knowledge Base does!
